1920s Adirondack

Lake Sunapee, New Hampshire

Originally built in the 1920s as a hunting and fishing lodge, this Adirondack-style home sits on a prominent point in Newbury, New Hampshire. The charm of the original structure has been thoughtfully restored, and a contemporary two-story addition replaces a one-story wing added in the 1970s, seamlessly blending old and new. As part of the renovation, a worn boathouse on the water’s edge was reimagined to include a gathering space that connects indoor and outdoor living. Both the house and boathouse take full advantage of breathtaking lake views and the surrounding landscape, creating a perfect retreat for a growing circle of family and friends.
